Digital Plan Submittal
WE ARE GOING PAPERLESS! After coordinating with the Butte County Assessor’s Office, and in an effort to decrease applicant costs and be more environmentally friendly, all applications, plans or documents shall be submitted in digital format.All plan check correspondence will be distributed via email. This positive change will ensure everyone is informed quickly and contribute to the preservation of our local environment.
Please report any issues to the Building Division at buildingdocs@chicoca.gov.
When Visiting the Building File Upload Page:
First time submittals: please attach the permit application.
File types: .PDF’s and .DOC (MS Word) documents only

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Click on “New” in the upper left corner of the screen
- Enter required fields
- Attach all documents (large files take time to upload, please be patient)
- Once your files are uploaded it will revert to the SharePoint screen, you will recieve a confirmation email.
- You will be contacted by the Permit Counter
