City to begin billing for sewer service through Util360
Effective July 1, 2023, the City of Chico will begin billing for sewer service through Util360. Chico residents who are on Cal Water and City of Chico sewer will get two separate bills - one from Cal Water for water services, and one from the City of Chico through Util360 for sewer service. The first bills will be mailed July 28th.
Your sewer bill will be sent to the same contact that pays the Cal Water bill. When you update your billing contact information with Cal Water, it will automatically update your sewer billing contact as well.
After July 1st, for questions about your sewer bill contact: www.chico.util360.com or call customer service at (888) 530-4360, Mon – Fri 8.30 AM to 5.00 PM PST. Util360 also has a customer chat feature.
Sewer bills can be paid online at www.chico.util360.com, or via a check in the mail to the address on the billing statement. Customers will be able to set up a new account on the Util360 portal and pay their bills online once their first statement is received in late July.

Why is Cal Water no longer billing for City sewer on their bills?
Cal Water had partnered with the City to bill for City sewer service for many years, however Cal Water recently gave notice to the City that they will no longer provide that service. City of Chico sewer bills and customers should expect their June bill to be the last one that shows charges for both water and sewer combined.
Will I still get a bill from Cal Water?
Customers will still receive their regular water bill from Cal Water, and a separate sewer bill for only the sewer portion will be mailed on July 28th from the City’s new sewer billing provider, Util360.
Will my sewer bill change?
The new sewer bill will include the same charges (sewer rates), there are no additional increases. The only difference is there will be two separate payments to make (one to Cal Water for your water service and one to City of Chico for sewer).

Util360 is a company that specializes in helping municipalities with their billing. The City of Chico has partnered with Util360 to provide the billing for Chico sewer customers.
What payment methods can I use?
You may mail a check to the address on the billing statement, or sewer bills can be paid online at www.chico.util360.com after you receive your first paper bill. At that time, customers will be able to set up a new account on the Util360 portal at the website address above and use electronic payment methods.
