currently in design phase

currently in design phase

Project Description

Two road rehabilitation projects will be completed for the year of 2026.

Ceanothus Avenue

The Project includes road rehabilitation on Ceanothus Avenue from Manzanita Avenue to East Avenue. The Project will complete the infrastructural gaps along this section of Ceanothus Avenue. Improvements consist of new curbs, gutters, and sidewalk where missing; bulb outs at Paseo Haciendas Court for pedestrian crossing at Pleasant Valley High School; and a new designated northbound right-turn lane into Pleasant Valley High School. This project is funded by Measure H, and the sidewalk gap closure is funded by the Butte County Air Quality Management District (BCAQMD) Community Air Protection Incentives.

E. 20th Street

The Project will improve the existing roadway segment of E. 20th Street from Park Avenue to Notre Dame Boulevard (approximately 1.6 miles). Proposed work includes pavement reconstruction and resurfacing, re-striping,  upgrading bicycle lanes to include green paint and a buffer zone, ADA compliant curb ramps, new signage, and repairing sections curbs, gutters, drainage features, and sewer system facilities. Additionally, approximately 280 feet of the existing 12-inch sewer line along Franklin Street will be replaced with a 15-inch sewer line in the same location.
