Terrorist Threats Arrest
Case# 22-005836
The Chico Police Department recently received information that DALLAS MARSH (37) was making criminal threats to kill specific individuals, specified law enforcement officers, and was preparing to commit a “Las Vegas style” mass shooting with a specified deadline.
Detectives with the Chico Police Department’s Violence Suppression Unit (VSU) obtained evidence of MARSH’S intent to commit these acts. The investigators developed information that MARSH was staying at the Super 8 Motel in Chico. As a result of the investigation, MARSH was subject to a no-bail felony arrest warrant for 422(a) of the California Penal Code – Criminal Threats of Death/Great Bodily Injury.
On 9/25/22 at approximately 8:50 AM, members from the Chico Police Department SWAT Team located and arrested MARSH without incident near the Super 8 Motel in Chico. After his arrest, MARSH made threats to kill additional officers and their families, and battered an officer with a table during the interview process. Additional charges of Battery on a Peace Officer and Threats of Violence Against Peace Officers were requested when MARSH was booked into the Butte County Jail.
