Take Over Robbery at the Boot Barn

Chico, CA – On 12/30/19, at 5:48 pm the Chico Police Department received a call of a robbery that had just occurred at the Boot Barn, located at East Ave. and the Esplanade.
Officers arrived and learned that an unidentified suspect walked into the business armed with a firearm. The suspect ordered employees and customers to the ground and proceeded to demand money from a cashier. The suspect left shortly thereafter, with an unspecified amount of money.
The incident resulted in a short closure of the business while Officers conducted their investigation. The Chico Police Detective Bureau has taken over the investigation.
The robbery occurred during a busy time of the day and we are asking anyone who might have been in the area and saw something suspicious, to please call the Detective Bureau at 530-897-5820, please reference case number 19-009335.
