Strong-Arm Robbery

On 9/26/21 at approximately 1236 hrs. Chico Police Officers responded to a reported strong-arm robbery at a business in the 200 block of W. East Ave. The reporting party stated that two juvenile males entered the store and attempted to steal merchandise, when they were confronted by store clerks. A struggle ensued, and the suspects forced their way past the clerks with stolen merchandise. One clerk sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene by medical staff.

Officers arrived on scene and began investigating the case. A Chico Police Officer conducting an area check located two individuals matching the suspect descriptions on W. Lindo Ave. near Holly Ave. The suspects were detained and probable cause was developed to arrest these two juveniles for Robbery per 211 PC. Due to their age, the suspects were cited and released to their parents.
