Stolen Vehicle Arrest

Chico, CA – On 8/26/2021 at about 12:00 pm, the Chico Police Department received a call in regards to a vehicle that was recently stolen from the 700 block of E. Lassen Avenue. The victim indicated as she exited a convenience store, she saw a male subject get into her vehicle and drive away. An area check was conducted and the vehicle was located unoccupied in the 300 block of E. Lassen Avenue.

While Officers were on scene the suspect, identified as Samuel Miller, returned to the location where the vehicle was taken from. Miller contacted the victim and a Chico Police Officer who was on scene. Miller told the victim and the Officer he saw who was responsible for the theft of the victim’s vehicle. The victim told the Officer that she saw Miller get into her vehicle and drive away. Miller was arrested for vehicle theft and transported to Butte County Jail.
