On 10/16/20 at approximately 1010 PM, Chico Police Officers responded to the area of DeGarmo Park, 199 Leora Ct, for a report of a stabbing. Officers arrived and located an adult male who was suffering from a stab wound to his upper chest area. The victim said he had been in an argument with a male suspect, later identified as Brian Albert, while walking his dog. The victim said the argument escalated into a physical fight where pepper spray was also used. The victim said at some point during the fight, he received a stab wound from Albert. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim’s wound was non-life threatening. Albert was also contacted in the park and was detained without incident. Albert was ultimately placed under arrest for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and transported to the Butte County Jail.
