Shooting at an Inhabited Dwelling on Cypress Street

On April 25, 2020 at 1:08 AM, the Chico Police Department received multiple reports of shots fired in the area of Cypress St. and Humboldt Ave. Officers arrived in the area and located evidence of a shooting. While canvassing the neighborhood officers discovered the residence at 755 Humboldt Ave had been struck by gunfire. There was also at least one vehicle in the area struck by gunfire. No persons were injured.

Witnesses described a black 4 door sedan, possibly a Dodge Charger, leaving the area at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was last seen turning east onto E. 9th St. from Cypress St.
