Shooting

On 10/29/20 at about 8:51 pm, the Chico Police Department received a 911 call regarding a shooting that had just occurred in the 1100 block of Columbus Avenue in Chico, CA.
Patrol Officers converged on the scene. Officers determined the incident was an attempted robbery. There were four suspects who were all wearing masks. The suspects fled the scene and fired numerous rounds toward the victim. A vehicle and two residences were struck by gunfire. Officers canvassed the neighborhood and determined no one had been injured.
The suspects were last seen running north bound toward The Post on Nord Apartments, 1200 Nord Avenue. The suspects were described as 4 adults in their late teens or early 20’s. The races of the suspects varied between different witnesses.
At this stage in the investigation, it appears this was an attempted robbery over personal property. Chico Police Officers are continuing to investigate the incident. We are asking anyone with information about this incident to please call the Chico Police Department at 530-897-4911.
