Shooting

 On 5/24/20, at 9:14 p.m., the Chico Police Dispatch Center began receiving 911 calls of several gunshots heard in the area of the 800 block of E. 19th Street in south Chico. As officers were responding to the area, several more calls came in of multiple people running from the area. Officers began an area check and located an apparent crime scene. At that same time, CPD Dispatch received a call from Enloe Medical Center of a gunshot victim arriving at the hospital. The adult male victim was immediately treated and was determined to have non-life threatening gunshot wounds to the upper torso. He is currently in stable condition.
The 800 block of E. 19th Street was closed off for approximately three hours as the scene was processed and investigation conducted.
