Rollover Collision

On Thursday May 6th, 2021 at about 0845 hours, several 911 calls came into the Chico Police Dispatch center regarding a rollover collision. The callers said two SUV’s collided at the intersection of 6th and Main Streets. Officers arrived on scene and saw that one of the vehicles had rolled over onto its roof. Both drivers were out of their vehicles and were not injured. The drivers were identified as a 73-year old female and a 43-year old male, both from Chico. The investigation revealed the 73-year old female ran the red light which caused the collision. The intersection was partially blocked for nearly an hour as the vehicles were cleared from the scene.
