Robberies at Walgreens on Nord Ave and East Ave

On 12-20-19 at approximately 1859 hours, Chico Police responded to the report of a robbery at Walgreens Pharmacy, (1042 Nord Ave.) Officers were near-by and arrived within 38 seconds of the call being dispatched. Police learned a lone male suspect had jumped over the pharmacy counter and demanded money from the employee. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store. The suspect was described as wearing gray sweatpants, black shoes, and a camouflage sweatshirt. The suspect was further described as either a black or Hispanic male.

At approximately 1950 hours, Chico Police were dispatched to another robbery at Walgreens Pharmacy. This robbery occurred at the 860 East Avenue location. A male matching the description of the first robbery had jumped over the pharmacy counter and demanded prescription medication from an employee. The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of prescription medications. There were no injuries resulting from either robbery.
