On 9/8/2022, the Chico Police Department was advised that Erik Scott Vickner was located alive in Lassen County by the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office. Vickner was transported to an area hospital for observation.

Chico, CA – On 09/07/2022 at approximately 1823 hours, Chico Police Dispatch Center received a call from a Chico area after-school program regarding a child who was not picked up by their guardian, Erik Vickner, 31 years old. Officers determined the child’s young sibling was also not picked up from a daycare program.

Officers contacted the children’s listed emergency contacts and determined Vickner was missing under unusual circumstances. Information was obtained indicating Vickner may have been in the area of Highway 70 and Highway 395 in Lassen County, CA on 09/07/2022.
