Major Injury Collision

On 10/22/2022 at 11:41 PM, Chico Police Officers were dispatched to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision that occurred near the intersection of Ivy Street and W 3rd Street. Officers arrived on scene along with medical personnel.

It was determined that a pedestrian was attempting to cross Ivy Street when the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian suffered major injuries as a result of being struck by the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital. Ivy Street was closed approximately 2 hours while the Chico Police Department MAIT (Major Accident Investigation Team) took over the investigation, which is still ongoing.
