Little Chico Creek Pedestrian/Bicycle Connection at Community Park Project

The project installed a Class I bicycle path between Little Chico Creek, through the East 20th Street Community Park to Chapman Elementary School. A clear‐span bicycle/pedestrian bridge was installed across Little Chico Creek, with improvements placed outside the ordinary high‐water mark.

The path provides connectivity between the Chapmantown neighborhood and Humboldt Avenue to bicycle lanes on East 20th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Parkway and the Midway bicycle path. The bicycle path also provides connectivity for the southwestern quadrant to bicycle facilities extending east from State Route 99 along Humboldt Road and traveling to Forest Avenue and Bruce Road.
