Fatal Traffic Collision

On 8-14-2020 at approximately 10:19 pm, the Chico Police Department received a 911 call of a single-vehicle traffic collision involving a motorcycle on Skyway just west of Potter Road. Officers from the police department and personnel from the Chico Fire Department responded to the scene and located the rider of the motorcycle unresponsive. The rider was transported to a local hospital where lifesaving efforts were performed. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist succumbed to their injuries as a result of the collision. The Chico Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) was activated and responded to the scene of the collision to investigate the accident.
