Drowning at Sycamore Pool

On 10/21/20 at 5:53 p.m., a citizen called the Chico Police Department to report a possible drowning in Sycamore Pool at One Mile Recreation Area in Bidwell Park. Officers arrived on scene a short time later and located the man in the center of the pool. Chico Fire Personnel retrieved the man from the water. Medics pronounced the man deceased. There were no obvious signs of criminality located at the scene. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
