Drive By Shootings

On 03/23/21, just before 7 p.m., the Chico Police Department began receiving calls of a shooting that had just occurred at an apartment complex in the 700 block of W. East Ave. in Chico. 

Officers responded to find several vehicles struck by gunfire, and after a canvass of the area, Officers determined no one had been struck by gunfire. The intended target(s) of the shooter are unknown. There was limited information and witnesses.  Crime Scene Investigators responded and processed the scene.

Approximately 2 hours later, at about 9:15 p.m., the Chico Police Department was again called as another drive by shooting was reported, at the same location.  Again, Officers found vehicles struck by gunfire and other evidence of the shooting, but no further information as to the who was responsible.  An apartment was struck by gunfire with bullets lodging inside of the apartment.  Again, luckily, Officers found that no one was hurt.
