Death in Public Right of Way

On Monday, 08/29/2022 at approximately 1807 hours, the Chico Police Department responded to the 2100 block of Humboldt Road, on a report of an unresponsive subject. Medical and fire personnel arrived a short time later and located the subject, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

There were no obvious signs of criminality located at the scene and the death appears natural.

Butte County Sheriff’s Office Coroners arrived on scene and removed the deceased. At the time of this press release, the identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
