Community invited to participate in upcoming Housing Element Update meeting.

The City of Chico invites residents to join the second Housing Element virtual community meeting on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. Registration information may be found below. The Housing Element is part of the City’s General Plan and provides an analysis of the community’s housing needs for all income levels, as well as strategies to provide for those housing needs.

At this meeting, participants will learn more about the importance of goals and actions in the Housing Element as well as participate in breakout groups. Breakout groups will have an opportunity to discuss topics like accessible housing, Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), affordable housing, fair housing and equity in housing, housing for seniors and people with disabilities, and more. These discussions will inform ongoing Housing Element action planning and goal setting for this update effort.
