Coffee with a Cop

The Chico Police Department is participating in a Coffee with a Cop event on Tuesday, November 16th from 8:00AM-10:00Am in partnership with two local coffee shops in town.

The purpose of ‘Coffee with a Cop’ is to give the community the opportunity to meet with an Officer in a relaxed setting for a conversation about the department’s work around Chico.

The majority of contact Law Enforcement Officers have with the public tends to occur during emergency or emotional situations, which are often not the most conducive for relationship building with the community. Additionally, some community members may feel that Officers are not approachable on the street. ‘Coffee with a Cop’ breaks down barriers and allows for casual, one-on-one interaction and the opportunity for quality conversation.
