Child Predator Can’t Outrun the Law’s Long Arm

On 7/7/22, Chico Police Detectives responded to Fairfield, CA to serve a search warrant at a residence. Detectives were assisted by the Fairfield Police Department’s Major Crimes Division.

Detectives were investigating a report of a suspect who had convinced a 10-year-old female to send nude photographs and videos to the suspect. The suspect was well aware of the victim’s age and vulnerability. At one point, the suspect made threats to release the videos if she did not supply him with more. Detectives identified a Fairfield, CA resident, Ethan James Alfonso (19 years old), as the suspect. With information obtained during the investigation, Detectives located Alfonso at a second location in Vallejo, CA. Alfonso was arrested without incident and transported to Butte County Jail.

Alfonso was booked on 10 counts of 288(a) PC (Child Molest), 311.11(a) PC (Possession of Child Pornography), and 288.3(a) PC (Communicating with minor with intent to sexually assault).
