On Tuesday, February 25, 2020, the Chico Noon Exchange Club held their 74th Annual Peace Officer of the Year awards ceremony and we had the privilege of honoring our 2020 Peace Officer of the Year, Officer Mark Bass along with some other exemplary Officers from several Butte County agencies.
During his 27 years in law enforcement, Officer Bass has been a Detective in BINTF, a member of SWAT, a Street Crimes Detective, Crime Scene Investigator, Field Training Officer, Felony Investigations Detective and Officer In Charge. Officer Bass has earned the Medal of Courage, a Meritorious Achievement Unit Award and a Class “A” Commendation.
Officer Bass was voted Officer of the Year by his peers and coworkers. He is a class act and one of a kind, we are proud to have Officer Bass on our team and in our Chico PD Family. Congratulations Sir!
We would like to say Thank You to the Chico Noon Exchange Club for their gracious hospitality, delicious lunch and the generous gift of their time given to host an awards ceremony to honor Law Enforcement in Butte County.
