The Chico Police Department will be releasing their 2021 Annual Report. In order to provide context and an explanation to the information contained in the report, Chief Matt Madden will be presenting the report to the Chico City Council at their meeting on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 6:00 pm.
The Chico Police Department typically releases this report each year around March. Due to low staffing levels and other priorities, the report could not be completed until all the statistical data could be captured from 2021. This report is meant to educate the community about their police department and provide data as it relates to staffing, crime rates, use of force, and other important information relating to public safety. After the presentation to City Council, the Annual Report will be released to the public and can be found on the Chico Police Department website at https://chico.ca.us/police-department as well as on our social media platforms.
Chief Madden says, “As transparency continues to be a priority for the Chico Police Department, I am proud to release our 2021 Annual Report and look forward to engaging the community about their police department”.
