Burglary Suspect Arrested

On July 21, 2023, at approximately 3:57 p.m., Officers responded to a reported residential burglary in progress in the 100 block of W. Francis Willard Ave. The homeowner called 911 after returning to his residence and finding an unknown male inside. The male, later identified as Jerry Joseph Sammy, was detained by the homeowner. Several officers responded to the scene and detained Sammy. An investigation revealed that Sammy entered the residence at least twice and removed property from inside.

The property was recovered nearby, and Sammy was arrested for Residential Burglary (459 PC.). Sammy was transported to the Butte County Jail for booking.
