Burglary Suspect Arrested
On 3/29/22 a citizen contacted the Chico Police Department to report a burglary of a business in south Chico. The thief was able to steal approximately $2,000 worth of work tools. On 4/11/22 CPD Officers responded to a reported burglary at a different commercial business in south Chico. Several vehicles at the victim business had been burglarized, resulting in a substantial loss.
Over the last several days, members of the Chico Police Patrol Division have been actively investigating these break-ins. During the investigation, officers were able to identify 23 year old Damien Dixon as the suspect in both burglaries. Dixon was located on 4/18/22 and arrested by patrol officers for these crimes. During the arrest, Dixon was found to be in possession of property taken during the burglaries. Dixon was transported to the Butte County Jail where he was booked for two counts of Burglary (459 PC) and one count of Possession of Stolen Property (496a PC). Dixon was also arrested for an outstanding warrant for drug possession.
