Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested

Detectives from the Chico Police Department’s Violence Suppression Unit (VSU) investigated the shooting of an adult male in the 1200 block of Notre Dame Boulevard that occurred on September 1st , 2023. Evidence obtained at the scene and through investigative action identified JADEN CHRISTOPHER HOLLOWELL (20) as the suspect in the attempted murder of the victim. The victim suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and remains in a non-ambulatory state.

On Thursday, October 5th, 2023, Detectives and Officers with the Chico Police Department served multiple search warrants and an arrest warrant in Chico and Oroville, California. JADEN HOLLOWELL was located and arrested without incident. HOLLOWELL was booked into Butte County Jail for attempted murder, pending a request for additional charges with the Butte County District Attorney’s Office.
