Assault

On 10/27/22 at 7:19 PM, the Chico Police Department Public Safety Dispatch Center received calls of a disturbance in a parking lot on Nord Avenue. Prior to CPD officers’ arrival, callers advised that someone may have been shot.

CPD officers arrived on scene and located one subject that was bleeding from the arm and the face. CPD Officers determined he had been shot by an air rifle.

A possible suspect description and direction of travel was given. CPD officers contacted a subject that may have been involved a short distance away and transported him to the police department for questioning. After questioning it was determined that he was the suspect in the assault. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Butte County Jail for Booking.

This investigation is still ongoing.
