Armed Subject Arrested

On March 14, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a female Victim called Chico Police Dispatch and reported an argument with her ex-boyfriend, Cody Allen HILL (age 32). The Victim reported that HILL was inside her motorhome in the Planet Fitness parking lot, 1950 E. 20th Street. HILL was armed with a handgun and the Victim fled the scene.

Officers responded and found HILL leaving the scene in his vehicle. A high-risk enforcement stop was conducted on the north bound Highway 99 off-ramp at E. 1st Avenue. Officers were able to safely detain HILL. Officers found HILL to be in possession of a handgun.

Through investigation officers determined HILL threatened to assault with victim while armed with the firearm. HILL was arrested for violations of sections 422 PC-Criminal Threats, 29800(a)(1) PC-Addict in Possession of a Firearm, 25400(a)(1) PC-Carrying a Concealed Firearm, and 11364(a) H&S-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. HILL was booked into the Butte County Jail on the listed violations.
