Armed Robberies

On December 25th, 2021, at approximately 0847 a.m., the Chico Police Department received a call about an armed robbery that had just occurred at a gas station near downtown Chico. Officers arrived and determined an unknown white male brandished a firearm at the clerk and demanded cash. The suspect fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Approximately 22 minutes later, the Chico Police Department received another call regarding a second armed robbery at a nearby gas station. Officers arrived and determined that an unknown white male brandished a firearm at the clerk and demanded cash. The suspect fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Chico Police Department Violence Suppression Unit, Detective Bureau and Patrol staff are continuing to investigate these incidents. We are asking anyone who may have information related to these incidents to call the Chico Police Department at (530) 895-4911
