The Police Community Advisory Board (PCAB) is designed to be a
link between the community and its police department to
facilitate and enhance communication between the two. The Chico
Police department strongly embraces the philosophy of Community
Policing in all its daily operations and functions. Community
Policing makes it possible for the police and the community to
share responsibility for identifying, reducing, eliminating and
preventing problems that impact community safety and order. By
working together, the police and the community can reduce the
fear and incidence of crime and improve the quality of life in
neighborhoods citywide.
The Police Community Advisory Board meets to focus on important
issues facing the City of Chico.
