City Manager

The mission of the City Manager's Department is to provide professional leadership in the administration and execution of policies and objectives formulated by City Council; to develop and recommend alternative solutions to community problems for Council consideration; to plan and develop new programs to meet future needs of the City; to prepare the annual budget; and foster community pride in city government through excellent customer service and effective and efficient operations.

Community Meetings on Solid Waste and Recycling Collection Services

The City of Chico will hold two community meetings to discuss the proposed implementation of a franchise solid waste and recycling collection system. City representatives, as well as representatives from Recology and Waste Management, will be present to answer questions and address any concerns that residents and businesses may have related to the proposed changes to the City’s waste and recycling collection services.
